Tochnoma Farm Herbal Plus CSA Program
Herbal Plus CSA - 2021
TOCHNOMA FARM’S HERBAL PLUS CSA
Do you want to know where your herbs are being grown? Do you want to know that your herbs and herbal products are being produced without pesticides and herbicides? Do you want to enhance your diet with nutritious and health beneficial herbs in your cooking and do you want herbal products that you and your family can use for their health and well-being? If the answers to these questions are YES, then join Tochnoma Farm’s Herbal Plus CSA.
The herbal CSA is based on the popular Community Supported Agriculture model in which members buy a share of the year’s harvest at the beginning of the season and receive weekly boxes of in-season produce. First popularized by Booker T. Whatley in 1970s Alabama, this model allows farmers to remain financially sustainable while connecting members to the bounty of seasonal, local food.
Tochnoma Farm’s Herbal Plus CSA offers a twist on the CSA model by offering a variety of herbs, herbal products, and some produce instead of veggies only. It’s a great way to try new culinary herbs, enjoy your favorite herbs, learn more about how to use local plants, and explore new ways of being in control of our own health.
